Planning permission granted – construction in full swing
Planning permission for the residential, yoga & pilates use as well as the additional storey has been granted on schedule. This means that the construction site can now start in full and the next milestone on the campus is taking shape.
Extensive planning completed
It is now clear that The PettCo will be home to a variety of different uses and will offer four public courtyards for the entire neighborhood as well as two private courtyards for tenants. In total, the new quarter will consist of one third apartments, one third serviced apartments and one third commercial, catering and office space. A complex project including historical building components and a new building, which required an extensive planning phase. This has now been completed and the next construction phase can begin.
Historic factory building becomes a creative workspace
The charm of an old industrial building is magical and attracts creative industries that like to work in this atmosphere for good reason. High ceilings and historical details provide a breath of fresh air and good ideas.
Rental agreement signed with The Base
Thanks to serviced apartment operator The Base, temporary accommodation is being created in addition to the rental apartments. The aim is to create 148 apartments that can be rented for up to 3 months.
The PettCo – a vision for a new place
Designed by Berlin-based Hillig Architekten, a new, diverse quarter with added value for the entire neighborhood is being created on the Pettenkoferstrasse 16–19 site. Six courtyards create meeting and recreational spaces and offer the opportunity to help shape a colorful, lively community.
Dismantling with care
Not every house can be preserved – as in this case. The former prefabricated part of the building could not be integrated into the new architectural concept due to high levels of contamination, so it was carefully dismantled floor by floor.
